| The Coal Canyon Trail connects with a paved road that's closed to cars. Its used for access to microwave antennas. This road takes you to the highest part of the park from which you can see the town of Clayton. The trail leaves this road at a gate controlling access to the antennas. From there its almost all downhill to the visitors center. There is also a trail that connects Mt Diablo with Black Diamond Mines that connects with this road. |
