A road cirles the park and much of it is one way. This road is called the Wilderness Road & Bike Route. Along that road I parked at the trailhead for the Nicollet Trail. Across from the parking is an area where an old bison kill site was discovered which you can read more about at the following links. Not long after starting the hike you'll see Nicollet Lake below the trail. Near the lake is a cabin built in 1918 which has recently be rebuilt. |
