| Shortly after leaving the San Joaquin River and starting your climb up to Evolution Valley you go past these falls on Evolution Creek itself. We did stop and take a dip in one of the pools. It was on this climb that my hiking partner asked a couple of older ladies with a Sierra Club group if they knew what a particular plant was. It turns out that one of the ladies was a college professor whom he wanted to take a class from. My hiking partner on this hike also had along a very thick and heavy Botany book. At least he was carrying it. |
