| The great thing about camping at such a high elevation is the views you'll get. I believe the two tall peaks are from left to right, Mt Mendel and Mt Darwin which is 13,830 feet high. Usually I'm camped next to creeks which tend to make noise which blocks out all other sound. This has been one of the few places in the Sierras that I've ever heard coyotes howling. |
