| Tehipite Dome rises above Tehipite Valley. There are suppose to be Indian Petrographs below the dome but I didn't look for them. Not too many people come to this valley. Its a long hike in and there is little reason to come here in my eyes. The valley is at the same elevation as Yosemite Valley but the similarities end there. This valley has lots of sand, rattlesnakes and wasp and not much else. Also there are few pools on the river and I never did find a good one to swim in. If you want complete solitude then maybe this is the place for you. |
