PICTURED ROCKS NATIONAL SEASHORE

Above is one of the many boardwalks along the western section of the park. They can be very slippery when wet, and your boots are muddy. I slipped several times. This section is different than from the rest of the park. It doesn't seem to get the traffic as the rest, and is more forested with less views. There are a few small waterfalls but most are hard to view. The final part of the trail is through an area of cross country ski trails that are groomed in winter. They looked like they'd be fun but I found trail markings a bit lacking in places for backpacking.
