SUPERIOR HIKING TRAIL |

The trail was hit by an ice storm in the spring of 2009. A good example of the damage from the storm is evident in a number of areas. The trees above (east of Highway 1) were bent over from all the weight of the ice. The trail crosses property owned by the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center, visible on top of the ridge above Wolf Lake. The Kennedy Creek Campsites are also on their property. If the creek is dry Raven Lake is about a half mile from the campsites. The Superior Hiking Trail Assn. holds their annual meetings in May at Wolf Ridge. |
