SUPERIOR HIKING TRAIL |
| There are some nice falls at the Caribou Wayside with campsites on either side of the river. There is no overnight parking at the wayside. At Crystal Creek is the only covered bridge on the trail. The state doesn't allow covered bridges on their property. I'm told that Ken Oelkers always wanted to build one. Crystal Creek is on private property so given the opportunity to build a covered bridge Ken did it. Ken used to do regular maintenance on the trail for the SHTA but has since retired. |
