The
Durfee Creek bridge was replaced in 2007 (?) I took this picture in
2008 and several days later that 3 to 5 inches of rain hit. I crossed
it again in 2010 and the river had undercut the opposite bank. I wonder
if the heavy rains did most of the work? I haven't heard what is going
to be done to fix the bridge. Nearby is the Kadunce River. The
old bridge had been deemed unsafe so it was removed. While the state
was replacing the bridge you either had to walk the plank below or wade
across. The bottom picture is another picture of the Kadunce River
further upstream. |
