Lake Alpine Lodge is located on highway 4. If you don't
plan on hiking the 10 miles on highway 108 to Kennedy Meadows
then you'll probably want to pick up food at Lake Alpine. They
accept packages from anyone except
the Post Office. They probably don't deliver packages to this
area. They recommend UPS. They also have a regular and tent cabins
if you want to take it easy as well as coin operated showers,
a restaurant and general store. I ate breakfast there when I
hiked through and it was pretty good. They don't charge to hold
packages. The address would be

Include an expected arrival date on the package! If you
don't make it there you'll need to make arrangements for UPS
or someone to pick it up or they'll throw it away. The nearby
campground does have a backpackers section which I had all to
myself when I stayed there over the Fourth of July.
