A little further along than the last picture of the previous page, the trail is still visible making that climb, and Mt Lyell is visible on the left with Mt McClure just left of center. Another view below, with the trail visible in the lower right corner. Just imagine this whole area covered with ice and just the tops of the peaks sticking out. |

Looking south into the Ansel Adams Wilderness from Donahue Pass which I believe is 11,066 feet. That is probably Mammoth Mountain just to the left of the center of the picture with the lighter brownish colored rock. |
