you camped at Onetahuti Bay you'll also be doing a tidal crossing at
Awaroa Inlet. The crossing is inland just barely visible to the left of
the picture above. There are some private cabins here also. While there
is no road into the area it is accessed by ATVs across the tidal flat
at low tide. Above the crossing is just starting to be passable, but it
was much better by the time I arrived. Below is a crystal clear creek
you'll cross on the descent to Awaroa Inlet. In one area the trail is a
boardwalk as seen in the last picture. |
