ABLE TASMAN COAST TRACK  

New Zealand has a number of flightless birds. Among them is the Weka above and the Pueko below. These pictures were taken at Totaranui, a camping area accessible by road. One area in the campground is set aside for hikers. Its evident that people have been feeding the Weka as it made a timely appearance right at supper time. The Pueko may be the same way but I had no problem with it.
