of the wildflowers you'd see along the trail. Jonvick Pond is the site
of another campsite. Needless to say, make sure you treat your
water. You'll probably see an old beat up canoe there. It was used to
cross the pond before the boardwalk was built on top of the beaver dam.
There aren't suppose to be any beaver here anymore but I did see
something swimming in it in 2010. It could have been a muskrat. I'm not
sure what the bottom plant is but it reminds me of the May Apple. I
have pictures taken from the Woods Creek area that show the flower on
it before it produces the fruit that you'll see in a few pages, or click on the picture. |
