| On your descent to Benson Lake you'll get good views across the canyon of Volunteer Peak to the left of the center of the picture. Benson Lake is under 7,000 feet. Leaving the lake you climb up to the base of Volunteer before heading to the left toward Smedberg Lake. Benson Pass at about 10,000 feet is 10 miles from Benson Lake, an all day climb. |
