| Briones is 5,756 acres of woodland located between Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette and Martinez California. From the park you have views of the delta, Mt Diablo, Walnut Creek, the mothball fleet etc. For those people that live nearby it makes a great place to hike, run and bike. One newly paved trail is ideal for those in wheel chairs or parents with strollers. There is a group camp also that is available for reservations from youth groups. As with many parks in the area you will see cows. There is no notable features of the park, just that its a great place to go for a walk. If you want to see wildflowers you'll want to go in the spring time when you'll see plenty of them. The hills stay green from somewhere in November till May, when they start to turn golden brown. |
