| One probably reason that not as many people hike into the Desolation from the west is that there are fewer trails. To get into the main part of the Desolation from Wrights lake you must hike north toward Rockbound Pass. This picture shows the ridge that is east or Wrights Lake. I know that people can hike over it because I've done it however, there were places we had to sit down and scoot over till our feet touched before collecting our packs. |
