When I made it to Lords Meadow I camped at an old camp that horse packers used to frequent. You can see that the ground is all dirt, typical of their camps as they kill all the grass. The log above has been torn up by a bear, looking for insects to eat. I've seen a bear do this before and they have no problem doing it. Just like they have no problem prying car doors open.

The trails in the Lords meadow are were in bad shape also as you can see from the erosion above.
