| Descending from Silver Pass you'll get your first views toward some of my favorite peaks. I believe that the peak in the center of the picture is Bear Creek Spire. You'll see it again from a different angle on the next page. The trail can be seen in the lower right corner descending from the pass. The low bare ridge just to the right of the small lake in the center of the picture is a lateral moraine between the two glaciers that used to flow down this valley. Around the corner to the right is another larger lake which is visible in the picture below. There was a couple camped along the shores of the lake and no one else was around. |
