| Just beyond Island Pass is Thousand Island Lake below Mt Banner, another of those peaks familiar to many. The lake lies in a glacier carved valley. The Pacific Crest and John Muir Trails part company here, joining again at Devils Postpile National Monument. Below is Emerald and Rudy Lakes, two small lakes between Thousand Island and Garnet Lakes. |
