| The climb alongside McGee creek begins along a little used trail, which gradually disappears. The Sierra Club group we had met was headed to this area to make a base camp. I believe that the highest peak here is McGee at 12,969 feet. Our route took around to the left and then up a side canyon. We didn't look at the guide book for a while and took the wrong side canyon which made for an interesting trip. |
