| All the purple flowers in the above picture are Wild Onions. The next picture shows a close up of the flower. I'd heard that there were Wild Onions in the Sierras but I never knew what they looked like till I was getting water from a creek one day and could smell them. I have another picture of Wild Onions in my Yosemite Wildflower pages. It shows the biggest patch of them I've ever seen. |
