Just inside Dorothy Lake Pass is Dorothy Lake with Forsyth Peak (11180 ft) in the background. An unusual feature is a Rock Glacier on the side of the peak. Below is a view looking back up Grace Meadow toward Dorothy Lake Pass. I think the notch on the left is Bond Pass, the route the Tahoe Yosemite Trail takes. |
Below you'll see lot of plants that are a lighter shade of green. They're all wild onions. I was getting water out of a creek once when I smelled them. Since then I've seen them in a number of places, but never in the quantity as here. There is a creek that comes off the ridge but it never reaches the Falls Creek. |
The remaining pictures are taken in the middle area of the Jack Main. Although these were taken about a week after July Fourth there isn't much water as it was a dry year. |
