The view from Vogelsang Pass is one of my favorites. Looking to the east is Gallison Lake. I'm not sure but that might be Mt McClure 1/3 of the way over from the right. Looking south from the pass you look toward Bernice Lake with the small glaciers above it. Florence Lake would be more to the right in the next canyon. The trail descends to the canyon floor before following the Lewis Creek toward Merced Lake. The creek isn't always very accessible. |
| Looking to the Southwest below, you can look toward the Clark Range with Mt Clark on the far right. Red Peak is the reddish peak left of the center, with Red Peak Pass in one of the notches left of it. |
