| Leaving Vogelsang High Sierra Camp and taking the southern route you'll follow Fletcher Creek to a nice meadow. Looking back up the toward the camp you can see how gentle the descent is. It won't last! The trail to Emeric Lake goes to the left. |
| Emeric Lake is 4 tenths of a mile off the main trail, and its got some great views across to Mt Clark above. The view below is looking up canyon. There is a faint trail along the north side of the lake. |
| Back on the main trail between Vogelsang and Merced you'll get to see Fletcher and Emeric Creeks where they meet in the following two pictures. |
