You'll get some great views of the Clark Range on the descent to Merced Lake. Red Peak Pass is about the center of the picture above.

Below is a shot back toward the point where the above picture was taken with Fletcher Creek visible.

Looking across canyon you can look up Gray Peak Fork. I believe an old Calvary Trail used to go up this canyon.

Below is a view of Merced Lake. Half Dome is visible in the distance. The last picture shows a section of trail in this area. I believe these trails were originally built during the depression as part of the WPA.
