| Merced Pass is an easy pass to cross, and I mean easy. This is also one of the two areas in the park where you'll find volcanic rock from a small volcano that used to be nearby. The picture below was taken near the junction with the pass and the Moraine Meadows trail. Plenty of Lodgepole Pines. |
