| The Emigrant Wilderness borders the northern boundry of Yosemite. There are more Volcanic rocks and soil in the area which I think has contribitued to the plentiful wildflowers. The pictures on this page are taken near the Gianelli Cabin Trailhead. Near could be as much as 5 miles away! The first picture is taken near Burst Rock on a cold August day with the clouds down low, and it snowed that night in areas. I had ice on my tent the next morning. |
