Tuolumne River

Immediately downstream of Glen Aulin is this great view, one of my favorites. The river levels out for about a mile and is a popular fishing spot. The second photo is taken looking to the right from this same spot.

This reminds me of an infinity pool. If you ever see this when you're in a boat headed downstream you better head for shore fast or you may go over a waterfall. This is the end of the flat section mentioned above.

 The main reason people hike along the Tuolumne River trail is for waterfalls, and you'll see plenty of them.

 Waterwheel falls below is one of the best. I wish I'd had a better camera when I took this picture, as it doesn't do it justice. Water roaring down the river hits large rocks in the river, resulting in big sprays of water shooting into the air. The last picture is another shot of this falls.
