On the descent to China Hole you get this view of the trail on the Mahoney Meadows side. It is in the clearing just below the center. This is an excellent trail, one constructed for hikers, not trucks. Many people go only as far as China Hole as it is a great swimming hole. Just look out for Poison Oak nearby.

This picture is taken in the area shown in the above picture. Spring is a good time to go there. Summer can be very hot.

The fog can blow in from the coast which also makes for some good pictures. This picture is taken from the end of Pine Ridge and shows Mahoney Meadows in the middle distance, to the south
